Single-loop shell-and-tube evaporator is a commonly used heat
transfer equipment, which is widely used in the production process
of chemical industry, foodstuff, medicine and other industries. It
makes the liquid to be evaporated by placing it inside the tube and
using the external heating source to make it evaporate. Through the
heat and mass transfer between the wall of the tube and the
external medium, the heat in the liquid will be transferred to the
external medium to make it evaporate.
Single-loop shell-and-tube evaporator is a very efficient
evaporation equipment, and its main advantages include high heat
transfer efficiency, fast evaporation speed, small footprint,
convenient operation and so on. It usually consists of shell, tube
bundle, heat transfer medium inlet and outlet, evaporation medium
inlet and outlet and other parts, in which the shell is usually
filled with heat transfer medium and the tube bundle is filled with
liquid to be evaporated.

Shell and tube evaporator is a kind of heat exchanger with compact
structure, convenient installation and high heat exchange
performance, with the wall of copper tube bundle enclosed in the
shell as the heat transfer surface of the inter-wall heat
exchanger, which has the features of low cost and wide circulation
cross-section. It can be customised as single-loop, double-loop,
triple-loop and quadruple-loop system according to the usage
requirements, and it is the most widely used heat exchanger.
